COVID-19 Press release

March 24, 2020

Good day Colleagues and Valued Members,

We take note of President Cyril Ramaphosa’ s announcement last night of a 21-day national lockdown with effect from midnight on Thursday, 26 March 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

I urge every one of you to comply with President Cyril Ramaphosa’ s directive as it is only if we work together that we will be successful in fighting and defeating this pandemic.

I have no doubt that many of you are experiencing high levels of anxiety for your own health and wellness and for that of your loved ones, family, colleagues, clients and members of your community. At this important time let us put the health and safety of ourselves and our families as our main priority.

The SAE4D Executive team will continue to support you as our valued members to the best of our ability. Our Q1 breakfast has been postponed to the end of July. Details will be confirmed and communicated to you.

The after effects of this period will significantly impact the world and ways of working for people on various levels namely on an emotional; psychological and financial level.

We should all take heart in knowing that we will overcome these circumstances and continue our vision of supporting our members and your organisations to be disability confident.

If you come across any articles, or would like to share experiences that we can publish to encourage people to remain resilient please share with Naseeha and myself.

Blessings and good wishes go out to you and your families.

Please reach out to us at any time.

Our Exco team:
